Silver

Wearing silk H&M shirt (old)

This would be perfect if my shirt would over night grow into being a shirt dress. Oh, how I'd love that. I'm getting really tired of being ill (when was anyone ever happy about that?). I had two shifts at work today and tomorrow that just got cancelled, giving me more time to get on top again. Starting to feel completely disconnected (and no, facebook doesn't help!). I want to go have coffee with my friends. Now. Without feeling woozy and sick.

I hope you're happy and well!

Lots of love,
Mikaela

CAMEL & RED

Sorry for being a bit absent here on the blog. So many things have been going on, especially in regards to school (read: a total of 4 hours of sleep between Monday and Wednesday).. There's only a bit more than a week now, and I'll be flying off to Australia! I really really can't wait!! First stop is Melbourne, then Canberra, then Sydney and back to Melbourne again. It's been a decade since I've last been, so if any of you have recommendations for anything, let me know!

WARMING UP

So, temperatures have dropped here in Copenhagen! It's definitely too cold to run around without gloves anymore (note to self, ahem..), but nothing warms better than the spirit of Christmas. I'm looking so much forward to Christmas (surprise, surprise) - and my enthusiasm has stayed strong since the first time I could open a present beneath the Christmas tree.
This year I'll be spending Christmas in Germany together with my family there. Looking so much forward to it!

Have a lovely day!

RIGHT BEFORE SNOW

DIESEL SUNNIES

PENNYBLACK BAG

I'm guessing that it's needless to say, that I'm over excited about my new sunnies that I won over at awesome Vienna Wedekind
However, I'm so surprised on how quickly these photos from this saturday became outdated! Don't know what I mean? Those who follow my instagram (@SrhMikaela) would perhaps know that my very backyard (approximately 30 meters from where these photos were taken) is completely covered in snow!

So no more jumping around in 50 denier stockings - I'm introducing: thermo everything! Underwear, stockings, wool this and wool that! Let it be known, I'll go to the extreme to keep warm in these freezing temperatures and there is absolutely nothing stylish or fashionable about it...

Keep warm!

Ciao, Reggio Emilia!

So, I'm home from my brief trip to Italy, more specifically the beautiful city Reggio Emilia. Not only is it a beautiful city with lots of great stores but also the home of the parmesan cheese (Parmaggiano Reggiano). I was fine most of the time despite the fact that I was still feeling ill. I'm now home and just woke up with no voice, so it looks as if I'll have to take it a bit slow these days. Anyways, I didn't get to take a lot of photos because of the brief journey, but here you can see some of my photos from the lovely city :-) (you'll have to click read more to see the photos)
I hope you are happy and well!

MY FAVOURITE DECEMBER SPOTS IN LONDON

WAREHOUSE LEATHER JACKET / REISS PANTS M&S SCARF / M&S BAG

Woohoo, it's finally December!
There's really nothing like the end of the year, and the fact that I will soon be spending Christmas with my wonderful family in Copenhagen, makes my mittens go right up in the air! To quote my man Bing Crosby, I sure am dreaming of a white Christmas. And just in case the weather disagrees with my visions, I'm currently confetti-ing discount toilet paper. Still have 22 days to collect enough toilet paper confetti to cover up Copenhagen. I should have become an engineer..

Anyways! Tis now the season that me mittens are with me on patrol, when I jump around the lovely city of London, and if there's anyone who can get it on for Christmas, it's London. If you are lucky to come past London before Christmas, make sure you take a stroll down Bond Street to see the amazing Christmas decorations, make your way to Piccadilly to adore the beautiful shop windows (Stella McCartney on Bruton Street is my favourite!) and heat up at Muriel's Kitchen in Soho for afternoon tea or a hot chocolate to really get in to the Christmas spirit.

OFF TO VIENNA TOMORROW! FOLLOW MY TRIP WITH THE #FFdoesVIENNA

I'm definitely better off with some help..

Uhm... Well... It's been a while since I've done the self timer trick.. and well.. It's not working all that good for me. I guess I just have to get the hang of it again :)

Hope your having fun on the first day of Christmas!

LAZY SUNDAY

What is more lovely, than waking up to a beautiful Sunday morning, having scented candles and fresh flowers and being wrapped in soft cotton qualities. I really love, when I have the possibility of just letting go on the last day of the week and just enjoy the atmosphere. This is what we in Denmark call 'hygge' - essentially being cosy - and this indeed is.

Rituals were so kind to help me out with spoiling myself for the day, and I've basically been living in these pants since I got them! Rituals named them Heaven, and they live up to the name! They sent me a green tea with jasmine to have in the lovely mirrored teacups, and I can really recommend it, if you're a tea enthusiast as I am! The eyeliner was a bit different than the ones I usually use, as it's a pen. It was easy to use and I find that it's really good if you like a 60's mod eye look. Very Brigitte Bardot!

IF YOU HEAD TO FASHIOLISTA, YOU CAN WIN AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE RITUALS LOOK, YOU CAN WIN A FULL CARE LINE BY RITUALS. GO TO THE COMPETITION HERE :)

And to my final point of the day… Happy 1st of December!!!
I HOPE YOU HAVE A LOVELY DAY

Off to Italy!

Thank you for all of your lovely comments on the last post. It's always so nice to hear what you think!
After I did the post yesterday, I little by little started feeling really ill and before I new it was lying on the couch with a fever. Yes, I had caught the flu and this is all before I'm leaving for Italy tomorrow!! Today my fever got worse, but I'm feeling better here in the evening, so unless my two legs can't carry me forward tomorrow, there's no stopping me! I had a cold about a week ago, but I can't recall the last time I was this sick.

Oh, well. Unless you hear anything else tomorrow:

Arrivederci lovelies! Can't wait to tell you all about the trip!

Beautiful Sofie

This is a picture my cousin Sofie took of herself and it's so amazing it had to come on the blog! She's also incredibly talented with photography - so maybe more of her stuff will turn up on the blog? :)

NEW IN: DIESEL SUNNIES

DIESEL SUNNIES
VINTAGE WOOL / CASHMERE SHIRT
LIMECRIME "COSMOPOP" LIPSTICK

On my birthday a couple of weeks ago, one of the sweetest days of the year got a whole lot sweeter, when a mail from one of my fav bloggers, amazing Carola of Vienna Wedekind, popped in to tell me that I had won a pair of Diesel shades on her blog. I normally don't enter giveaways, but I simply couldn't help myself with this one, and I'm so happy I went for it! Don't they just have the perfect amount of Mickey Mouse meets John Lennon to them?

I'm a smitten kitten and there is no doubt that these babies will be used a whole lot in the future and hopefully meet heaps of sunshine on their way.

SENDING YOU LOTS OF SUNNY LOVE

Let's focus

Wearing: Vintage shirt and blazer, H&M skirt, Asos necklace, Deena & Ozzy shoes, Sparitual nail varnish

Hi everyone!
Today is the joyous day of aperture, focal lengths and so on! I just bought a new lens with some money I got for my birthday, and it's amazing!! (Let's just look away from the fact, that the second photo is a bit blurry everywhere - still getting a hang of it). I'm really happy with the result and when I'm leaving for a quick trip to Bologna in a couple of days, I'll be sure to snap away with this feller.
Hope you had a great day!

xx,
Mikaela

PICKING UP FLOWERS

PENNYBLACK COAT
NIKOLAJ STORM SCARF

After receiving flowers from my lovely boyfriend for my birthday, I felt a desire to keep the habit of having flowers in my room. So, the trip lead me to always lovely Columbia Rd. where I got these beautiful cauliflower looking flowers, that are now cheering me up in my room. Will show you how I displayed them soon!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

FLOWERS IN THE RAIN

MAXCO COAT / ZARA SCARF (similar here and here) / VINTAGE BELT (similar hereWOLFORD TIGHTSPOLLINI SHOESLIBERTY LONDON TOTE BAG

As it will by now be known all over London, I love Columbia Road and have spent many beautiful, dry sunny Sundays at the Columbia Road Flower Market as here, but until now, I have managed to avoid it on those characteristic rainy London days. You see, my natural reaction to rain (although also infamously known for disturbing the peace splashing puddles) is to stay in with a movie and hot chocolate. I was water proof last time I checked, but you know, just in case. Last week however, despite the rain which was pouring down untiringly, I fearlessly jumped outside. And as assumed, I did hold tight, only my curls were a bit looser and my tights started to feel like a wetsuit. But it is ever so worth the visit, even in the rain, because what can cheer you up better on a rainy day than flowers? And when they just so happen to be in best Art Noveau style on your bag as well, like with this Liberty London Marlborough Tote, that's just a match made in heaven, am I right? As having fresh flowers on the table, I find the Iphis print on their totes completely hypnotising and despite the Greek name, it has me feeling slightly more English than before, with Liberty London being well sacred to English heritage. Throw in an afternoon tea from the lovely Cake Hole, and that's your rainy Sunday wrapped London-style!

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND
