Thanks to everyone for all your lovely comments! I do my best to return the kindness, every single one of you deserve it. At the moment, as some of you might know from my Instagram (SrhMikaela), I have the pleasure of having sweet Marie for a quick visit, and since I've got the next couple of days of, I'll make sure to make a photo diary to share! I've realised how unvaried my posts have become (so sorry!), so I'll do my best to do something about it asap.

Heels

sources: various tumblrs

Hi lovies,

I'm sorry for the fact that I haven't been posting regularly, but I'm so busy doing this big assignment for school!! Today is the last day, that I can work on it so tomorrow I'll be one free girl and a crazy blogger (I promise).. Tomorrow will be celebrated with hot cups of chocolate, last christmas shopping with my boyfriend and preparing for a christmas party at school with the lovely Cecilie!!
I for one can't wait, and I promise you that good photos will come out of tomorrow for you to see!

About those Jeffrey Campbell heels, what do you think? I think they look awesome on all the other bloggers, but when I see them at the store I fell like they look like a brick or something.. They're on the edge of absolutely amazing and horrible to me.. I can't decide? It's a war in my mind, I need your opinion ;)

I really love the simple and the colourful - like the two first ones :)

Lots of love,

Mikaela

TRAFALGAR SQUARE

TOPSHOP JUMPER / AG JEANS / TOPSHOP BOOTS / FOLLI FOLLIE BAG

There's nothing like when the light hits right. And now, when it hits right and you happen to be in one of London's most beautiful squares, there's no reason to not drop everything you have in your hands to stop up and take in the moment. It's such a lovely spot, boarding to The National Gallery who have a Rembrandt exhibition on, close to the Temps, Covent Garden and Chancery Lane - all places that would make any trip to London more magical.
I went here this week with my lovely friend Toni, catching up and jumping around. I remember being here when going to London for the first time back in 2000, posing at the lions with my older brother. Such fun, and our day out did turn in to revisiting some tourist shots! Off to Denmark now, and I can't wait to be spending Christmas back at home with my family.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS AN AWESOME START TO THE WEEKEND!

Answers: MY CAMERA

Happy fourth Sunday of Christmas everyone!

Today I wanted to get back to all of you, who have been asking regarding which camera and lens I use for the photography on the blog. I use the Canon Eos 7d and I just recently bought this 50mm f1.4 USM lens, which makes these lovely blurry backgrounds and makes beautiful bokeh. Both things have been an investment from my side, and I must say - they weren't complete painless choices either. But they follow my side almost all the time and to a photo geek like me, all the photos they produce make me jump up and down, and I can only recommend them!

As for editing, I edit all my photos in Photoshop. For those interested it's currently on special on amazon.com!

I hope this was to any help and answered your questions - if you have more, don't hesitate to ask!

xx,

Mikaela

HI FROM DOWN UNDER

Hi guys!
So sorry for the absence in here - guess what? I'm in A U S T R A L I A !!
Note: super jet lagged..
A 33 hour trip here with 4 stops, it's safe to say that I'm a bit disorientated after the trip.
Tomorrow, my cousins have promised to take me for a malted milkshake - something I've been building up in my head since the last time I was here - they're heavenly.

Hope you are all alright, and I can't wait to make my first post from Melbourne !

GO TO THE SEASIDE

VINTAGE WOOL COAT
VINTAGE SILK SHIRT
VINTAGE PANTS
VAGABOND SHOES
NEYE PURSE (OLD)

I don't really think too much about how I combine my clothes (new with old), but after just having written the description to my outfit from today, I realise how much of what I actually wear i vintage. More than half of my closet are thrift finds, vintage goodies and inherited beauties etc. My latest thrift find is the above coat. I'm in love. Traded for 45 kr (6$ / 8€) and this pure wool coat was mine.

I wanted the coat to stand out, so I paired it with a black silk turtleneck and my high waisted black vintage pants. To add a little bit of extra something, I did these white-based (Sparitual) nails with navy and burgundy spots.

Happy advent everyone!

Christmas lights

Photos snapped by Cecilie

Here are a couple of more shots from yesterday's trip to Tivoli. It was really so lovely! Thank you for all your kind responses on the last post :) The red hat was a birthday present and was made by Cecilie's mum. I truly love homemade things and always have some sort of a project on. This Christmas is no exception. ;) Are you having all your Christmas shopping done?

ALSO - A lot of you would like to know which lens and editing program I use. I'm going to do a post on it, but just to put it out there: I use a Canon Eos 7d with a 50mm f1.4 USM lens (I use another one too, but I think this is the one you've been requesting to know). Also I do all my editing in Photoshop.

xx,

Mikaela

New Years Eve coming up

wearing: H&M divided exclusive sequin dress, H&M bracelet, Zara stilettos, vintage earring

These images are at least a year old (the days of the shorter hair and bangs). I have no idea what I'm gonna wear this new years eve, but this was what I wore last year!

TIVOLI

Went to Tivoli today with lovely Cecilie. It's such a wonderful place and the fact that it's Christmas only makes it more magical! With the Christmas market there and all the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations, one could not avoid feeling like a little child again. If you're coming to Copenhagen this Christmas, all I can say is: do not miss this!

Lots of love,

Mikaela

IN TIME FOR COFFEE

NEXT BLAZER JACKET / BENETTON TURTLE NECK (similar here) / LEE JEANS / ARMANI EXCHANGE WATCH / CARINA NORDENSTAM RING / ARMANI EXCHANGE SUNGLASSES / POLLINI BOOTS

Something odd has happened to me here in December. I've had an increasing need to wear sunglasses - more so than the, well, I don't know, the summer months! I'd like to blame the sun on this one, but London being London, sun is rarely the reason why its inhabitants are wearing sunnies.  My collection has become a lot more suave thanks to these square, ombre tinted glass beauts from Armani Exchange! Truthfully, my collection of sunglasses has never been larger, but really it only takes one good pair to get it right.
On this particular day, starting up in always lovely East London with a coffee by Verde&Co, it was one of those mornings, where I really had to push myself out the door, with gravity like forces trying to keep me in bed. My lovely new watch, also from Armani Exchange, was helping me stay on time throughout the day, as I was running all over London for errands and meetings. I've had it on my wish list for a while, to a point where the suspense was just a bit too much of a tease - It didn't take me long to jump at the opportunity of working together with them. I'm getting up at 3am for my trip to Copenhagen on Thursday, and although I genuinely won't be awake when I leave my doorstep, at least i'll be on time!

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY

FAUX FUSS

HELEN MOORE HUFF / VINTAGE ALEXON COAT / REISS JUMPER / PEPE JEANS / M&S BAG

Being one of those people, who alike many of my generation, enjoy to document my life with photographs, why Framboise Fashion originally was started, I realise that there are a few risks connected to this hobby. One of them being, that my sartorial choices however they may vary good or bad throughout time, are documented. See, I never imagined that I would be one to wear a huff, but after walking around in beautiful Angel recently, with my lovely friend Ramon, and the cold was prickling, I completely fell for this huff in Home & Pantry. I cannot promise, that I will love this look forever, but for now I'll embrace it with the risks this fluffy look comes with and hey! At least my ears will be toasty warm, right?

I'd love to just dedicate a paragraph to tributing the research being done in terms of faux fur and ethical fashion. I was so happy to discover Helen Moore, who also does the most gorgeous faux fur scarves that I'm completely in love with. We are so far in terms of research in ethical fashion, and we just need for more brands to understand the importance of changing our ways. It's a long discussion in terms of fur, but taking in to consideration how advanced technology is today, I don't see why not choose the faux option.

HOPE YOU HAVE AN AMAZING SUNDAY

Beautiful and Elvis

sources: various tumblrs

I love faux fur and red lips, and the model there makes it look so chic. And I love Elvis music :)
