Alors on dance

Wearing: selfmade fringe dress/shirt, Saint tropez leggins and of course the bianco pums (again)...

I'm going nuts about fringes and my sudden obsession has lead to me putting fringes on everything I own. My blazer has been under the needle and now has fringes on the shoulders and the same with this dress; made it during last fashion week here in Copenhagen. Wore it to the Henrik Vibskov fashion show.
One thing I have not yet shared with the blog is, that I dance... Not just randomly but also in competitions. It's show dance, very much like jazz dance. But anyway, not the point! The team and I went to the Danish Championship and we won the gold! We'll now be going to Riesa, Germany, in November! Can't wait!

Takker mine skønne veninder for en fantastisk pigeaften i går med den skønne værtinde, Selma. Var til DM i showdance i dag, vi vandt guld og skal nu forsvare Danmark i Riesa til November.

Purely Professional Event

Casually chatting before the event with Katarina and Laura.

New sulfate free products.
Hearing about the new product range.
Delicious (and highly addictive) raw snacks.
The new shampoo from Purely Professional without sulfate, which was the topic of the day.
Always beautiful Emilie and Celine.
Eva looked super cool with her earrings from RebekkaRebekka.

Here are some photos from the Purely Professional event I attended a while back. I have a big interest in products, that are as gentle as possible when it comes to the ingredients. To me, the ingredients shouldn't be to cryptic. In all of Purely Professional's products there are no parabens, SLS, perfume or colour. As an expansion to their product range, they have now created products (shampoo, conditioner, face wash etc.) without sulfates, that are normally used to create foam when in contact with water and are known to irritate skin. If you're interested in knowing more, go to their website, here.

STILL HERE

I cannot believe, that I almost went through an entire week without updating the blog.

Alas! I'm still here, however distressed I may be.

Story made short, for the past 65 hours, I have only slept for 8 hours (over two naps) due to an important school project. It's definitely not been optimal for my body, keeping me awake for so long without a proper rest - I've literally entered zombie-mode, and my appearance troll-mode (therefore the lack of outfit posts, you see - I was really just sparing your eyes!).

Now, I am going to sleep until I wake up. This might be a few days.

LOTS OF LOVE

PRACTICAL THINGS

ASOS DUNGAREES / VILA BLAZER / MAXMARA LOAFERS / NOVA BAG

A super quick post from me today! It's one of those days where I just have to sit and focus on those practical things that just need to be done before it's too late. I wish I had more dungarees or simply just more jumpsuits in my life, because they are if anything practical. And that said, there's just something incredibly intriguing by looking like an auto-mechanic, stop me if I'm getting too excited!

Anyways, off to all of those flagged e-mails. I hope you have a great day!

A Large, Fashionable (and super awesome) Music Post for your Ears to enjoy

It was requested, that I shared a little info regarding what goes through my ears on a daily basis. Let me tell you - I love music. Yes, yes, everyone loves music especially when it's good, but music has always been a part of my life and even though I'm more of a visual person, I'd go all gobble eyed if I couldn't play or listen to music on a daily basis. My history with music? Here it comes:

At age 6 I devoted all my attention towards the violin. Yes, the violin and I would indeed take over the world together. Guarded with resin and a very primitive version of "Jingle Bells" I was ready to enter the musical stage. This affair ended at age 7. Better end things while the crowd is craving more, eh?
Next stop, the piano. This choice was influenced by the fact that I had an accident with my fingers at age 8. A table fell on top of my hand and after some time at the hospital, I had to regain full movement and feeling in my fingers and so the piano and I would start our relationship. This turned out to be fortune in the misfortune. We've been friends ever since.
But oh no, it doesn't stop there! There is one more instrument to be mentioned - well, two if you count the obligatory recorder music classes during primary school - but that aside, it is of course the ukulele I'm referring to. It's my little happy and very portable instrument. Simply for these reasons it's amazing.

Tastewise I listen to a lot of indie and electronic music plus a little bit of folk, but really I'm into most music genres. Even classical.

Gosh, what a long post about my relationship with instruments music. I hope you enjoy some of my current favorites!

Lots of love,
Sarah Mikaela

LET'S GET SPORTY

MODSTRöM JUMPSUIT / PEAK PERFORMANCE SPORTS BRA / MAXMARA LOAFERS / WAREHOUSE BAG / ASOS SUNNIES

I feel as if I'm wearing a lot of denim lately. Blue being my favourite colour, it doesn't seem a hard trend for me to love and the fabric have an endless amount of possibilities and variations to it. But wearing denim in a sporty way and not the typical casual way, now that's a first for me! Another way to wear denim? Now where do I sign up!?
Spring break is coming up here, and I have some exciting activities that won't be able to stay away from the blog. Also, in London this w-end? Come and say hi to me at 12 o'clock in the Warehouse flagship store on Oxford Street! Partyyy!

HAVE A GREAT DAY

Get in some Denim:

Flea Finds and Coffee

Stine and I at Riccos in Frederiksberg after a trip to a fleamarket.
Me setting the playlist in my new flying duck shirt.
The music came from my cute, blue, ancient iPod.
Books to set the mood.
Stine's coffee.
One of Stine's flea finds. She bought this great big fabric to make it into something great.

Have a lovely Sunday!!

Welcome to The Stairs

wearing: vintage blue shirt, vintage belt, vintage sequin shorts bought at FN92, Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet, Asos handcuff, Bianco shoes, Urban Outfitters sunnies, socks I found on the table

Here's today's (or rather yesterday's) look. Went all vintage. 2 exams down. 6 to go! I can't wait to graduate - soon I'll be looking for some fashionable job, so that is mainly where my thoughts go when I don't worry about my physic grade or any other subject for that matter. Spirit high :) (My mother took the first photo. Way to go, Mum!)

6 eksaminer nede - 2 to go! Glæder mig sådan til at have huen på - d. 20. juni er dagen! :)

Lots of love,

Mikaela
