For the love of Leisure

Shirt: Petit Bateau
Jumpsuit used as pants: H&M Trend
Stilettoes: Bianco
Sunglasses: Le Specs

Okay, so in my last few posts I have been hiding my eyes with my atm favorite sunglasses from Le Specs. But I can't help it - it's been sunny and absolutely amazing outside!! Staying inside would right out be a crime and when the weather is as lovely as it is, with (almost, ahem) no clouds, there's a good excuse to wear my sunnies.

Hope you had an amazing day!

Mikaela

WHITE BOOTS

VILA BLAZER / H&M T-SHIRT / 5PREVIEW JEANS / OFFICE SHOES / NOVA BAG / FOSSIL WATCH / FOSSIL BRACELET

How is everyone's Friday going so far? Here I'm in for a busy one, with a hundred things I need to have done by Monday. It's funny how things can hang around for a while, and then the day comes where you notice, you've completely ignored an elephant in your room for several days! Woops!

I HOPE YOU'RE ALL IN FOR AN AWESOME WEEKEND

#49

Oh my goodness.

I just bought an YSL lipstick in the most gorgeous shade of pink, no less than "Tropical Pink" (no. #49) from the Rouge Pur Couture collection. I was spellbound when a friend of mine posted it to her instagram, I just had to know.
I was nervous that maybe the instagram filter was making the colour more luscious on the photo than in reality, but my oh my, was I wrong. It's magnificent!!

Another worry of mine was that it might be too similar to another favorite of mine, Topshop's lipstick "Clueless" (worn here and here), but giving the fact that Tropical Pink has strong blue undertones and isn't by any means matte (which is really in this season, but anyways) make the two incomparable!

ON MY LIPS SOON!

- These Starry Nights -

I'm wearing: Vintage starry shirt, Star earrings from a local shop in Frb, Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet.
Cecilie
Photos by me

This Friday the beautiful Cecilie and I went to the Treefight For Sunlight concert in Vega in Copenhagen. It was AMAZING! I can't describe how great it was to experience them live, they're so good. They're an up and coming band in Denmark and they already have so much star quality. This was what I wore friday for the concert. I don't normally do all black, but I thought that the stars on the shirt should have their chance to shine.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

Love,

Mikaela

NEW IN: Reversable Red Green Coat

Jacket: vintage Red Green

Talk about thrift find! Going through the usual dated pieces, this jacket first caught my eye because of its great quality and the fact that it's reversable. With the bomber-jacket trend ruling over us this season and my huge need for comfortable clothing in my wardrobe, I couldn't let this pass me by. Surely, I got it for way less than it is worth!!! Emphasis on "!!!!" ! It should be said though, that I on my way home dropped a burgundy doily that I also bought in the thrift store. Perhaps it's for the best though - I don't really look good with doilies.

MORE HOURS, PLEASE

Time seems to run away from me at the moment. It's like everything I want to do, have to do can't fit into a day on Earth. Might as well move to Venus, where the length of a day is 243 Earth days. But then there's the breathing thing... Nope, London is as far as I'll go this time!

HAVE A PERFECT TUESDAY.

The 22 year old Australian has conquered the pages of many fashion magazines and campaigns, and I can understand why! Her big eyes and the charming spaces between her teeth is what she is known for. Besides that, she has a great taste in style! These are some of my favorite pictures of her.

LONDON RUSH

photos by Shini Park

VINTAGE CARDIGAN / SABA T-SHIRT (similar here) / ZARA JEANS (similar here) / MAXMARA LOAFERS / MAXMARA TOTE / FOSSIL WATCH / FOSSIL BRACELET

Wow! Has it just been the most beautiful weather lately or what? I've woken up several times this month, questioning, whether I really was in London. Then again, who am I to say that London should be rainy? No complaints from me!
On one of these lovely sunny days, I went out with awesome Shini, who yes, is as stylish, sweet and awesome as she seems from her blog Park&Cube. We had a coffee outside Liverpool Street Station in the lovely weather at lunchtime, chatting and shooting while heaps of businessmen and businesswomen were passing us by. I hope you've all been able to enjoy some good weather, wherever you are!

LOTS OF LOVE

AFRICA IN SCANDINAVIA

ASOS AFRICA DRESS
VINTAGE TRENCH COAT
BILLIBI SHOES
PENNYBLACK BAG

It's been tingling in my fingers to show you this dress i got from the ASOS AFRICA collection. I was blown away when I found it (ages ago..), and after a whole lot of pondering I pull myself together, and sent after this beauty.

The beautiful printed part of the dress is jacquard woven, meaning that the print has not been printed on top of the material but has been woven. This beautiful fabric was made in Mombasa similar to local crafts and with the sporty features put into the silhouette and colour blocking, I simply came to the conclusion, that it would have to go in my closet. And as a plus, it's even really warm for this freezy march weather.

If you are tempted, I just checked, and there are still some goodies from the ASOS Africa AW12 collection left here. :)

Have a great Sunday and keep warm!

PINSTRIPE

ZARA BLAZER / KAIBOSH SUNNIES

One of the funny things about London, is the fact that no two streets are alike, and this goes for the people who walk on them too. On one street, you'll see the most trendy of the trendy the next the most quirky of the quirky and as soon as you turn a corner, you're in a business district with loads of suits passing you by! Living in such a dynamic city, you can't help but be influenced by all. Yesterday that meant getting my pinstriped blazer and a pair of lovely burgundy brogues (see them on the instagram @SrhMikaela) my lovely mum, who's here to visit, gave me - does she know my style or what!?

HOPE YOU HAVE A LOVELY DAY

Light is slowly setting

Blazer: H&M Conscious Collection
Shirt: Vintage
Leggings: MbyM
Shoes: Vagabond
Bracelet: TokyoJane

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. It was like there was a constant fog in the air, and together with the sun it created a blissful feeling. Spent the afternoon with Stine, who will be going to France on Sunday for a week. Lucky her! I've never been to France (yet I have a French word as my blog name, haha) but I'd so love to go. :)

Have a lovely weekend!

MUM'S IN TOWN

I'm the luckiest girl, because my favourite woman in the whole world is here in London to visit! With me having lived in London for almost a year, and not being able to just pop over for a hug, this will be my most important agenda while she's here. She's just the most lovely, beautiful, fun-loving and dynamic person I know, and I'm so excited to be spending these days with her. Today we were enjoying the perfect Sunday out, having a little frenzy at the Columbia Rd. flower market, eating cake in the sun, market fun at Brick Lane and dinner near Liverpool Street. And yes, I really had a quite serious fringe all up till I was 14.

I HOPE YOU'VE ALL HAD A GREAT SUNDAY

Big hair

Shirt: Petit Bateau
Jacket and bag: Pennyblack
Shoes: Vagabond

My outfit was really classic yesterday, going into TV2 Go' studios. A Petit Bateau classic stripe shirt and black pants from Pennyblack. Yesterday was so much fun! To follow up: Dennis Knudsen did reach styling 60 women in 60 minutes today! :)

These photos were taken after being styled or fluffed up you might say. The hair-style was done with mud wax and hair spray.

Mikaela
