ALSO ON INSTAGRAM

PHOTOS FROM MY INSTAGRAM

YOU SHOULD INSTANTLY FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM! Late bloomer, I know, but better late than never, eh?

Let it be said, I'm a huge fan of the high quality photoshopped processed images that cover blogs today. I love it! Yet, I must admit, that instagram has got my heart softened up a bit. There's something about the fact that you can just instantly share a photo of whatever you may be up to and take your hands of the editing part.

However, there is something about this nostalgia-vibe going on pretty much everywhere, that sort of has my mind running. I wonder why we are seeking back to simplified solutions, when all we've been doing since then is try and upgrade them to what is possible today. I'll just keep thinking that, while I snap another shot for instagram. ;)

Have an awesome day, and please share your instagram if you have one!

LOTS OF LOVE

Decided to move outside my comfort zone and wear a skirt. And a mini-skirt, even! I have no idea what caused the sudden bravery, but I reckoned, that it would be the last chance I had before winter would make it's impact, and boy was I right.. It was freezing!! And let's have it, that those tights are 100 denier. Just warning you if you were considering doing this at home. Our outside home. Especially outside..

HOPE YOU'RE KEEPING WARM

NEW BAG

NOVA BAG
SUPERTRASH LOAFERS

I'm don't accessorize much, but some things are just plain necessary! I.e. bag and shoes. My almost too cute SuperTrash leather loafers have been accompanied by a nOva leather bag, my wonderful mum gave me. It had to go through quite a bit before it actually ended on my arm - travelling from Denmark to London and back to Denmark again, as the mailman couldn't find me.. I'm waiting for an exciting delivery as we speak, so finger's crossed it will arrive safely! I for one will be waiting by the doorbell.

HAVE A GREAT EVENING

Around the neck

Vila blazer and nelly necklace

Hiya lovelies!

Being a little under the weather and all, a camera isn't really the first thing I'd like pointed at me right now. Therefore I give you: a photo I took earlier this summer, which never made it to the blog. I had just gotten the oh so popular nelly choker necklace, and truthfully, I soon discovered it wasn't really my thing. It's the mixture of feeling a bit claustrophobic and actually wearing something locked around your neck, like a dog collar. Not my thing. But no doubt that it looked great at Stella McCartney and Michael Kors' collections for this summer. If you'd like to see an outfit, where I actually used it out in the world, look here. :-)

Lots of love to you, I hope you're not ill as me but happy and enjoying the w-end!
xx,

Mikaela

VISITING: RIKKE HUBERT

Yesterday I went to visit amazing designer Rikke Hubert at her private studio at home. There's just something about creative people, that instantly captivates you. Rikke is no exception.

She creates beautiful feminine clothes yet with enough edge to satisfy any woman of today. Going there to see the process that all of her collections must go through was simply inspiring. Everything from the collages, sketching and fabric samples to the clothes all seemed to have Rikke's stamp on it, which more or less is the true reason that we have designer's create our clothes and not tailors: it has the individuality and personality.

As you would might have predicted, yes yes, I did fall madly in love with several (if not all!) of the pieces that I saw yesterday. I can already reveal, that an amazing bomber jacket with a unique touch might appear next year, and if it does, you will see it on me the day it hits the stores.

To quickly comment on the bottom two photos, this was a project called huberttrolle, that Rikke did in cooperation with singer Ane Trolle. They made tambourines with belonging bags - how fun is that!? My music and fashion passioned heart had a little girly twirl. As a detail to the bags, Rikke had gotten horse hair hair from Wisconsin. Quite good, eh?

It was a pleasure to shortly intrude at Rikke's place yesterday and I'm happy to be able to pass on a little insight on how she lives and works. A big thanks to Rikke for letting me snap photos around her place and for the 3 cups of coffee I slurped in me.
