Time is flying here in Australia, with all those Christmas parties going on and lovely sites to explore. Today I'm off to Canberra to visit my grandfather, who at 90 is still going strong and always ready for a good conversation on our environment and how to make our future more sustainable. I'll be three days in Sydney over New Year's, visiting my gorgeous friend Emma. Be back in Melbourne soon!

If there's something I love about my home country, however little I give it much acknowledgement in my daily life, it's the frosty mornings in the light of the rising sun. It may sound overly poetic, but when your daylight is limited from 8.30am in the morning till about 3.30pm, you learn to value these moments. Returning inside again with bright red cheeks and a sniffly nose oddly enough just adds to the charm.
∴
Now, I've never been the avid user of camouflage pieces, but then again, I've never considered, that the evergreen of a trend could be as simple as a white coat in the snow.That's got to count, right? Now, if it hadn't been for the red velvet boots and the fact that I never tend to match my hats, I'd have disappeared completely.

Merry Christmas everyone!

You are hopefully all feeling full after a good Christmas fiest and spent the days with family and friends. Mine has been fantastic with my Australian family - Christmas parties and BBQ's true to the Aussie nature and hot sunny days. My cousin gave me a bell jar, which I'm so excited to put over my perfumes at home in London, which by now will have gained at least 1cm of dust… I'll leave the cleaning till next year!

I'm so in love with this kimono my grandmother gave me. She was born in India and lived there until she was 13, where her family, who were exporting tea, moved to Australia to start a new life. Her sharing these things with me is truly an invaluable gift. The gumtree leaf earrings was a belated 21st birthday present from my aunt and uncle. I'll be happy to bring these back to the northern hemisphere reminding me of Australia's amazing nature.

BEAUTY IS BORING

My most recent source of beauty inspiration is Beauty is Boring. 

Behind this project is Robin Black, who armed with a polaroid camera and an eye for beauty captures gorgeous women (and one man) in all ages and of different types. I'm really drawn to the simplicity of the photos, making the beauty stand even more out. Amongst featured are Soo Joo and Jodie Smith seen above.

I'm definitely trying some of these looks out.

The holiday season has already made me throw a pair of Cheap Mondays out, so here I present to you my new best friend: this stretchy leotard by asos! I'm thrilled about it, however I would not wear it just like that. I'll match it with a blazer when I get to it ;)

I've been out walking in town today getting stuff for monday, when it's the blog's birthday! It's going to be a blast! Maybe I should wear this??

Today I met up with Stine, who I haven't seen for quite a while because she's been doing a big assignment at her school. So nice seeing her again! We had some coffee and a stroll in the King's Garden in central Copenhagen.

A story about love

A little post dedicated to my wonderful mum and dad, who today have been married for 20 beautiful years. One summer my dad came to visit Denmark to play music, just for a short period of time before returning back to Australia. He stayed at a place near my mum, and 14 days after he met her, he proposed.

Every time my parents tell me this story their eyes start sparkling and I never get tired of hearing it. Just reminds you, that when the right one comes along - you'll know it. :)
