3 CURRENT BEAUTY FAVORITES

ORIFLAME LIPSTICK IN "TRUE CORAL"
ORIFLAME DAY CREAM
CHANEL PERFUME NO. 5

Thought I'd just let you in on which products I'm using the most at the moment (I try to limit the golden drops, but gosh, it's an awesome scent!).
I've had so many comments regarding my lipstick, as it simply has such a good colour. Now, it almost goes on every day.
The day cream is a part of my daily routine. It's organic and contains Fairtrade certified ingredients + it's vegan, so yay for that! You can see more on the products here. :)

Hope you have a lovely day!

Rosa La Kris

I'm doing a fashion and design course atm, and here I've met lovely Rosa La Kris, who always looks stylish and inspiring. The silver cardigan on the first photo is from H&M - I literally gawped when she told me - it looks so avant-garde! The jacket she's wearing below was made especially by Kobra. Today I've spent some time together with Rosa in her atelier in the centre of Copenhagen. It was truly a creative spot in the middle of a beautiful city and I had such a lovely time drawing and discussing design!

Lots of love,

Mikaela

THE SCARF

ZARA SCARF

A little continuation to my last outfit post - now accessorized.
Because although weather has been extremely warm for October here in London, there are moments where a scarf absolutely comes in handy. I fell for this Zara scarf during my trip to Barcelona, so I've just been waiting to take it out for a spin.
Full outfit details here :)

HAVE A GREAT DAY

What's the fuss about ?

Wearing: Selfmade fluffy jumper, Vintage shirt and clutch, Zara pants, Deena & Ozzy shoes, Asos collar-tips.
Photos taken by Cecilie

I know this outfit is a little bold. Oh well, let's make that very bold. This was the outfit I was going to enter in the styling competition I talked about here, and I thought I better push all the buttons (sometimes that's just more fun). :-) It never made the competition, so it'll just have to shine or well fluff a little on the blog, which is just as good in my opinion! The shoes I just bought this week, and they are so comfortable to walk in and I needed a pair of black heels. I hope you're enjoying this fine sunday! :-)

Håber I nyder søndagen!! :)

Lots of love,

Mikaela

UPDATE ON DARREN

An update from the post I did on Darren, a homeless man with such a kind heart walking around East London with his dog Autumn creating these amazing one off copper pieces. I was so lucky to have him make me the copper bracelet above, together with lots of small copper flowers as decoration which belong to his signature creations. To catch up on the story from the beginning if you missed out, please have a look here.

First of all, thanks to everyone who shares an interest in this project - if we have any chance of changing the world, taking part in our local environment and seeing how we can make a difference is there is always a good step. All of your comments and support has made me realize how possible it is for us to speak the voice of difference and for it to actually manifest into change.

Since meeting Darren, I've been incredibly keen to start this project with him, making his amazing one-off's available to buy online and for him to slowly get on his feet again. After he made me this bracelet, I gave him my name and number for him to call me on his very dated Nokia phone which he couldn't remember the number to. I reckon he must have lost it the first time, but when I weeks after found him again, with the message of all your lovely responses and your interests in supporting him, it was incredible to see how touched and happy he was. Once again I gave him my number, this time on a used paper cup.

I haven't seen him since and I think the number has been lost, or most likely that he can't afford the credit to contact me. I'm on the search yet again, and next time I find him I will make sure to act quickly as I know he is just as keen for this to happen as I am to get involved.

Darren is just one of many, many homeless, who often end up sleeping on the street. I've been collecting clothes to give to another East London homeless, Isa, and I thought, if any of you have unused clothes, blankets etc. which you no longer have use of, and you know someone in your local area could put to good use with the cold months ahead, I know it would be greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL BEING SO LOVELY AND SUPPORTIVE

Ruby Red Lips.

Inspired by Magdalena Frackoviak's sparkly red lips (from one of my earlier inspiration posts) I spontaneously decided to try it out - and let me warn you - it's as addictive as Dorothy's ruby shoes in The Wizard of Oz! So much fun! Sorry that I'm not look posting, I have no space at home, so until someone helps me out, I can't really post any look posts - but I ensure you; it won't be long!! The last photo here wasn't as lucky with the lighting, but I've grown kind fond of it so here you go :)

OH! And be sure to check the post before this about Elle Muliarchyk!! Her work is stunning!

Lots of love,
Mikaela

In the Corner

Hi lovelies!

Thanks for all the lovely comments on the last post! I'm always excited to hear what you think! :) As you can see I'm loving my new hat!! I'm so, so happy for it. It's one of those things, where you know, that it wasn't just a buy - it was a fantastic buy, that'll make you happy for a long time.

I spent the day with lovely Cecilie and we did a little shoot for the blog (more about this will come). Actually the photos were for a competition called Styled by you, held by field's (a danish shopping center). The prize was being able to style a page in Danish Elle. I innerly wanted to be one of those lucky four, to style a page in Elle, so I planned and planned which special outfit to bring in to the competition. Just finished editing and so on here at 18:20 - and the competition was closed (at 6 'o' clock - I was 20 minutes too late). WHYYYY oh WHY? Let me just say, that it said nowhere that it ended at 6 o clock, I had to call them to discover.. Well, I had a little cry (I'm sorry for being a wimp about this, but I really wanted this). While I wept a couple of tears of my face, I said to my dad:

Me: Oh well, it's not like it's life changing.

Dad: What do you mean? Keep crying! (this was said ironically)

We had a good laugh (Australian humor, perhaps) and I am now preparing for Looklab's 1 year birthday party. It'll all be alright! :-)

Lots of love to you all this Friday!

xx,
Mikaela

Psychic - by Elle Muliarchyk

Remember Elle Muliarchyk? She is the absolute genius mind behind the dressing room photos and has since then worked on some amazing projects! Model, Meghan Collison, is starring in Elle's latest project for the Dossier's Journal. Meghan Collison was put in very different disguises and visited different psychics in New York and Brooklyn, and based on a new appearance from place to place, she got completely different fortunes! Even though Meghan didn't get a very clear insight into her future during this project, beautiful photos came out of the process for us to see! Also, there will be a movie up on NYT soon :)

If Dossier's Journal was sold in Denmark, you'd bet I'd run out after a copy!

AFTER DARK

REISS SHIRT / PANTS / COAT / BAG / BOOTS

Although you'll know me to to be much of a home body on a Friday night, there's nothing like a night out in East London in good company wearing a great outfit.  I recently had an awesome time hanging out with REISS and some other great blogger girls at The Hoxton. I've been having an urge for 70's lately hence the Annie Hall going on, and although I naively said I wouldn't wear black, I couldn't help myself when I found this combination. See the entire feature from our night here and my outfit is available here.

Thanks for doing my hair for the night, Safaa from Sassoon!

Today's

Wearing: Cheap Monday trousers, vintage shirt and leather jacket, Gaucho gloves, Scarf was a present, Gina Tricot hat.

The weather has been so beautiful today. A sudden rush of happiness went in to me in the waiting room at the dentist's office, when I saw this hat in one of the magazines. I rushed down to Gina Tricot and walked out with this fantastic green hat. It will surely be my close friend throughout this Autumn (and many to come)... Hope you had a fantastic day!

Vejret har været ovenud skønt i dag, hvis man ser bort fra de enkelte regnbyger, der stille passerede Københavns gader. Synes nu blot, det gav et rigtigt fint skær :) Håber I havde en skøn dag!

A DAY AT MCCARTHURGLEN - WIN MY OUTFIT!

Time for an adventure! I had the pleasure of going up to Cheshire Oaks to visit the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet to take part in their AW14 Trend EditJust because it's an outlet doesn't mean that it's anywhere near outdated!
I ran around to some of the more than 140 brands at the outlet and handpicked my favourite pieces for AW14 and I'm super pleased to be able to share them with you in the video below, and as a fun twist, McArthurGlen is giving you the chance to win my exact outfit from above - see how to below the video! It was just such a fun day with some incredibly lovely and talented people - everyone from the team to the till were amazing - I hope you enjoy the edit!

I completely fell in love with the JOSEPH shearling jacket above which also features in the video we did below! I was only wearing it for a few seconds before I completely took off in heat - for someone who's used to winters going down to -20 celsius, this will go in the top of my wish-list!

COMPETITION
To win the outfit I styled above, all you have to do is follow @McArthurGlen on Twitter and retweet their competition tweet with the hashtag #McArthurGlenEdit and four of you tweeters will be chosen randomly on the 31st of October. Best of luck!!

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS AND THAT YOU'VE HAD AN AMAZING WEEKEND!

WE'RE STILL HERE

Wearing Divided exclusive sequin dress.

My beloved friend, Cecilie, who's always eager to help me out with photos for my blog, has gone to London for a week. The best thing to do now: FREAK OUT! And here I am; Even though it's not more than a month ago I took my own look photos, I can't seem to remember how I ever did them without someone behind the camera!

I've got a short 'Autumn holiday' as it is called here in Denmark, and time just flies by with café trips and snuggling up underneath a cuddly duvet. This photo is taken a while ago, and I'm a bit unsure about it. Anyway - here it goes!

Hope you're keeping warm in this weather!

xx, Mikaela

UP AGAIN

ZARA TURTLENECK SHIRT
GINA TRICOT PANTS
BILLI BI BOOTS
ASOS EARRINGS

Here it goes! I'm finally up on my two legs again after having a mean flu, but going outside right now means covering up. I'm so happy for my new boots from Billi Bi, that I got last week! They have a perfect hight for an everyday boot and yet they're elegantly cut and made. They are going to replace my Vagabond boots, that I have used oh so often. I'm sorry that the palm tree nail art isn't really that visible, they were just a little project I did while I was lying sick at home ( I had to do something ).

Hope you had a lovely day!
