Futuristically golden

Sorry for posting irregularly - I've been moving the last couple of days. Now I live at a place with white walls and wooden floors. It's temporary, but it'll do for now. :) Found these futuristic sunnies in H&M - aren't they great? I feel all Star Warsy with them on and all I'm missing out on now is groovy Star trek boots and a spaceship. Take off!

Så er der dagens igen, efter nogle dages flytning. Jeg er midlertidigt lidt afsides, hvad København angår, men det er kun midlertidigt. Indtil da har jeg fine hvide vægge og trægulve at hygge mig med. Jeg skal igang med nogle projekter inden længe - design osv.

Fandt disse spacey solbriller i H&M - synes de var tilpas vilde til at være super fede. Nu mangler jeg bare følehorn :-)

THE MAN'S COAT

VAGABOND SANDALS

Here's what I did yesterday. Went to the local charity shop (they don't get better than out here in the country side!), grabbed two men's coats, both with heavy shoulder padding and cheap as toast. Now for sure, this coat demands architectural surroundings of the city, but it's on holiday with me, so this will have to do for now.

FUN FACT: Spoke German for a whole day yesterday, leaving me all cross-eyed and unable to think straight after being so concentrated on constructing somewhat understandable sentences. And tomorrow? Off to Germany to speak more German!

COLD SHOULDER

How is everyone doing? Here things are looking pretty good, with my amazingo brother visiting me for the week. Nothing like having your best friend around, who just so happens to look like you, older, and with more facial hair.. We just popped down to Brighton for some fresh air and some toe dipping *accidentally pushing each other in the sea* - good times!

On the down-side, guess who dropped their phone again !? Yup, yours truly. It's like my subconscious is trying to tell me that I am not capable of handling a portable phone. And as my super awesome mate James consolingly said to me, phones aren't important. Which I, completely agree with!! If i wasn't because, you know, I was so keen on instagram (I could give it up any time, it's not like I'm addicted or anything…) and if my sense of direction was somewhat capable of maneuvering through London without help. Let's face it. Without a phone, I'm screwed.

Just the other day I had a talk with Stine on caps, and how difficult they were to pull off even though I really like the look.. So what do I do? Go buy one of course! My head is surprisingly humongous (thank goodness it's not visible!), so casually strolling through the H&M Men's section I stumbled upon this washed denim cap.

So the street look would definitely be a first for me. And thinking about it - it's not my style at all! I listen to Billy Joel and The Beach Boys not hip hop or rap. I ride a bike not a skateboard. Oh, and swagging is not my thing. So it looks like the odds are against me and my new cap, but for now we're getting along just fine. ;)

Today I went for my first dip in the sea for this year. I can now declare, that it really is summer, and it's absolutely wonderful. I'm currently visiting my lovely grandmother in her little holiday house on the Danish island Als. Family, clear blue skies and sea salt on your skin. This is Danish summer at its very best.

Skin habits

photos used for collage are from tumblr and the lemons are from speckle of dirt.

Okay, it's been requested so here it is. A post about beauty habits. :) It's going to be a little alternative as my beauty habits are a bit, well, alternative.

I don't cleanse with any products whatsoever. I only cleanse with water - morning & evening. I don't say that this works for everyone but it works for me. Cleansing products tend to either make my skin too greasy or too dry.

When I however sense a breakout coming, which happens to everyone(!), I have a routine that is guaranteed to work. Before you go to bed, dab a little drop of lemon juice on the area of the breakout. Next morning - voila! Do keep in mind, that you are not to go out in the sun after applying lemon juice to your skin - it'll bleach!

Det er blevet efterspurgt, så her er det - et lille indlæg om mine renserutiner. :)

Jeg renser kun min hud med vand. Dette skyldes ren og skær, fordi renseprodukter enten tørrer min hud helt ud eller efterlader den fedtet. Derfor skyller jeg (efter at have fjernet make-up) mit ansigt med vand, morgen og aften.

Hvis jeg dog kan ane, at jeg er ved at få en urenhed, dupper jeg lidt ren citronsaft på om aftenen, inden jeg går i seng. Dette virker virkelig! Næste morgen er der ikke spor af noget! Men put det ikke på midt på dagen, da sol og citron bleger. Hvis I har nogle spørgsmål, må I endelig sige til! :)

OH MAYFAIR

ZARA SHIRT / TOPSHOP PANTS / BIANCO SHOES / FOSSIL BRACELET / WEAREARROW RING

A very simple and surprisingly comfortable outfit (ignoring the shoes, ahem..!), if it wasn't for the fact that I was incredibly overdressed in terms of the weather. As I mentioned yesterday, London is having a tropical moment, with thunderstorms and lots of humidity in the air making clothes stick like clinging film to your body. This was just one of those days, looking out the window checking out lots of grey clouds threatening with high impact rain, and I thought I'd be sensible and wear something covering. Hours and a way too long trip melting on the tube later, I had to admit defeat and the fact that I'd simply chosen the wrong outfit. Too hot!

Oh well, on that note, here's what not to wear for London weather at the moment!

Went out to fields today - I got myself some lovely things! Can't wait to show you. I'm working on posting the beauty-routine thing tomorrow - hopefully it'll turn out well. Current plan: relax on the couch with my UK Elle - perfect :)

Var med min skønne mor en tur i fields ved Ørestad i dag. Fik shoppet nogle dejlige ting, som jeg glæder mig til at vise jer (heriblandt nogle meget futuristiske solbriller - ahøm). Jeg købte mig selv sådan et Costume abonnement og blev forsikret om, at det første blad ville komme i dag. Men her står jeg - Costumeløs. Øv, øv og til det kan jeg kun tilføje ØV! Nå, men så har jeg heldigvis et Engelsk Elle, som også hører til en af de månedlige glæder ;) Prøver at få et indlæg op i morgen om skønhedsrutiner - skal gøre mit bedste!

TROPICAL TEMPERATURES

London is completely tropical these days, so much so, that I'm finding it hard to anything but lie flat on my floor like a jellyfish brushed up on land. It's giving me the perfect opportunity to explore some of the lidos and ponds available for a cool down here in London - if I could only move. Until then, I'll be drinking iced drinks with cutesy umbrellas in them and scout for bathing suits online. See, doesn't that sound productive?
