HOW TO: BERRY OMBRE LIPS

One thing is for sure: I love lipstick! A look from the runway that has inspired and intrigued me for a while now, is the ombre lip or the faded lipstick look. It's been introduced to the catwalk already a few seasons ago, but is still very on key when it comes to AW makeup looks today, so why not give it a try, shall we?

This look is all about layering, so I suggest you find a couple of lipsticks to blend - I used three for this look, MAC's Up The Amp followed by Oriflame's Plum Desire and finished off with an all-time classic, MAC's Ruby Woo. The secret ingredient to the whole thing is a black kohl pencil, I can recommend Bobbi Brown's Smokey Eye Kajal liner.

STEP 1
I prep my lips with a bit of BB-cream, which gives good moisture while giving you a perfect pale base. As an option, you can add translucent powder here and in the end to get a matte look.

STEP 2
With your index finger, gently apply your lighter shade (I can recommend MAC's Up the Amp) from the inner part of your lip till about three quarter out on the lip. Now follow with a darker shade, but not going as far out as you did with the first shade.

STEP 3
Optionally you can add an even darker shade or a shade to tint it only to the inner part of your lip and blend in. Again I happily refer you to my favourite red, Ruby Woo. For my look I added just a bit of black kohl which I blended well in with my three lipstick shades. Done!

HOPE YOU WILL HAVE FUN CREATING THIS LOOK TOO!
