Every year, just about this time, my normal Christmas crazy turns into Christmas panic, mainly because I'll still be missing the main gifts for the men in my life. This year, I decided I'd be on the outlook in better time, collecting things I thought would jazz it up a little from the usual 3-pack socks and musky deodorants, and made the above selection (if you're male and I'm spending Christmas with you, step away from this post!).

I'd like to think it's appreciated when girls have some kind of sartorial influence in mens' life, and if the shirt is nice with special details such as this one in asphalt blue, there's no reason to frown over soft presents. My personal favourite of all of the above, is the wool scarf from Barbour International, which I might or might not have planned for various future outfits already. The best gifts are the ones you can use care for too, right? And although it's pure wool, I was surprised to discover, that it's the softest thing and won't leave your partner / father / brother / you scratching away!

New Coat

Hiya lovelies!

Here's my exciting purchase from Italy: a tailored Max & Co. blazer coat. I rarely ever buy new coats for the season unless it's vintage (to give an example, my cape coat is at least 5 years old and I use it every winter). My favorite thing about this coat is the shoulder pads. They are perfect (just the right subtle amount of Balmain)!

I'm always excited when I do an outfit post. I love the entire process ! From choosing my outfit, to taking the photos and finally edit them (which for you who have asked is entirely done in Photoshop). And also, I always find it exciting to hear what you think about it - you're my experts!

Today I'll be off to work and if I can reach it, get some christmas shopping done.

My gorgeous friend Amy snapped these shots of me before having a coffee near Somerset House and then going to the Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore exhibition. For all fashion enthusiasts living or simply just passing by London, the stories, people and garments that surrounded her and are on display at Somerset House will blow you away. I really enjoyed going to this, so don't hesitate if you're considering to go! It's sad though, how so many artists and people in the creative industry fall into depression, or as Isabella Blow did, eventually end their own lives. It's such a terrible shame, as these people have so much to offer to the industry. An industry that from the outside seems to only consist of the external image or visual, can put pressure onto anyone, however the visual image should always be something enjoyable and not self-destructive. Elizabeth Gilbert did an amazing talk on this on TED: Your elusive creative genius, which I highly urge you to see or hear if you're a creative individual (which basically includes all people on this earth - if you can doodle, you're creative!).

LET'S TALK PARTYWEAR

Followers on my Instagram, might remember that I was on set with M&S a little while ago. Kept quite secretive at the time, here's the final outcome - two super cool videos styling the M&S party wear collection, one together with some other amazing UK bloggers, Tamara, Ella and Susy and one flying solo (below).

It was such a fun day on set with an amazing crew. Even got our hair and makeup done, which I will say was a bit out of my comfort zone!

I MET UP WITH THE KING

This image is a couple of months old. I wasn't really fond of it but couldn't make myself throw it out. Then I lay this "moonlight-photo-painting" I took last year on top, an voila - now I'll post it! :) Funny how small things can change how you feel about something.

Still working on the Shakespeare assignment - constantly listening to The Beatles, first aid kit and Treefight for sunlight (and of course christmas songs, though I'm more Shakespeare than Santa this year I must admit)..

At Home

Hi lovelies,

Sorry for keeping the blog so quiet this week. Twenty minutes after I did my last post, I was called up by my work saying that my shifts hadn't been cancelled - and of to work I went. Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments regarding me being sick - I'm starting to feel a lot better, but currently dealing with the aftermath. I hope all of you, who have like me been sick or are sick feel better or get better soon! Some of you asked questions about my nail polishes - the silver one I wore is from depend but I'll soon do a post on my nail polishes.

I don't know where to start, when describing how mad I am with these shoes. I mean, just look at them- it's a clear perspex chunky heel!! They have a perfect amount of practicality and Simone Rocha feel to them. My jaw just dropped when I found them online (find them right here), and I simply couldn't help but click them straight in to  the shopping basket and home to my door. Happy girl? Yes!
