Lined up

Shirt: Monki
Shoes: Vintage
Clutch: Rude

Pretty simple outfit yesterday. It was exactly what I felt like, now that the weather is a bit colder again. Simple and comfortable.

Anna and Ida Marie

I went out today to interview the lovely girls from the Why We Fly blog about the Roskilde Festival coming up here in Denmark. They told me about their style on Roskilde etc. and it was so nice meeting them! Do check their blog out - it's good stuff!

Lots of love,
M

VINTAGE TRENCH COAT (similar in pale pink here) / VINTAGE JUMPER (similar here and here) / LEE JEANS / &OTHER STORIES FLATS / NOVA BAG / DANIEL WELLINGTON WATCH

Although weather in London has cooled down from it's otherwise amazing start to the summer weather, it's feeling fresh and sometimes a breeze is just what you need. Remember I told you about a yellow trench coat I got back in Easter, when I went to Denmark? This is it, and I'm so excited to finally be sharing it with you. I thought it would go well with my hot&cool vintage jumper, just to hint to the sun that we're ready for it to come out again.

3-2-1 WEEKEND!!!

With all your senses

Wearing vintage shirt, MbyM skirt, Lickable MAC lipstick.

I don't see myself as a person who naturally wears floral. It's not something I usually wear, but then again, that's what's so good about fashion: You don't have to "convert" to some special style just because you one day feel like it. It's an expression of how you feel this particular day. This just happened to be how I felt today :-)

BTW!! We just passed 500 readers through Google!!! This is SO amazing - this wouldn't be the same without each one of you. I think I ought to bake a cake to celebrate it. See this thanks from me as a virtual cake sent to make you feel glad :-)

Lots of love,

Mikaela

Jumping around Town

Stine in her bouncy Dr. Martens

"You don't want to mess with me, lady". Stine's new friend.
Wood
Sign outside Arnold Buschk (bookstore in Copenhagen).

Stine's purple Barry M nailpolish and matching melting Iphone cover.

Roses in beautiful red hues.

My favorite shot of today.

Today I met up with Stine after she had her written exam in English. We were loud as ever and productive as ever running around town snapping and clapping.

Hope you had a lovely day too.

Decadorn

The ring I fell oh so in love with in London.
Beautiful pendants with a gold finish.
A view over the Decadorn Stall at Spitalfields market in London.

During my stay in London, there was a moment where my hand had a unique and luxurious addition. It was nothing less than a solid hand carved amethyst ring by the London based brand,Decadorn. Somehow, I found myself humming "If I were a Rich Man" (the prices for these beautiful pieces are more than fair, however, I quickly found my pockets turning lighter and lighter during my stay).

I came across this mesmerizing brand at Spitalfields market where they have a stall. It was easy to see, that every piece of jewelry had had a lot of thought, attention and work put in to it. Every piece is completely unique and it seems needless to say that they are timeless and will not go unnoticed.

A truly special collection of jewelry that combines creative design with nature's most beautiful creations.

Perfectly Imperfect

Wearing a vintage top and Cremesheen MAC lipstick in colour Lickable

The newest friend to my hair comes from Bumble and Bumble. It's the new styling creme called hair(un)dressing creme and it gives that perfect messy yet controlled look. My hair is flat as anything if I don't do anything to it, but when this is put into moist hair it does magic!! I'm a believer, for sure! The wavy hair I had at this post was made with nothing but the BB styling creme. I recommend very few products as I always find it relative, but this stuff is really good if you like that bambi-moss-olsens-messy-hair-thing. And I like that!

I'm going maxi too..

wearing: Maxi vero moda dress, second female cropped t-shirt, vintage denim jacket.

A year ago I would've never believed that I'd be wearing a maxi dress and enjoy it - now I'm in love with the style after discovering how many different ways it can be worn!

Details from Stine Goya AW11

All rights reserved, all photos have been taken and belong to me, you must link back if you use these photos.

I had the pleasure of seeing Stine Goya's AW11 collection, The Puppet Ghetto, again at the Stine Goya studio today. This collection is a statement of where SG is as a designer and I personally think that it is an absolutely beautiful collection. Inspired by puppets (the ones above are antique and come from jewelry designer, and SG's good friend, Sophie Bille Brahe) and the theatric world, she created authentic prints that resounds back to the enchanted world of Commedia d'ell Arte. I am in love with all the shoulder pads and of course the hats! If I should choose only one item from the collection to have and to own it would be the beautiful light pink / beige jacket with the thready details. The last two photos are jewelry designer Sophie Bille Brahe's touch to the collection and these golden horses adorned the models as they walked down the catwalk earlier this year (cf. the last photo).

IN MY SUNDAY'S BEST

I almost feel embarrassed how much Asos clothes I wear. In particular their (printed) dresses as the one in this outfit, tucked in as a T-shirt, and to be completely honest with you, I have another package on its way. Woops!

Back to this outfit, I rarely wear animal print. Actually, this would be my second attempt at using animal print in an outfit (see the first one here), but I loved the quirkiness of this particular dress. I guess, I don't like animal print when it's used to create a more body conscious look. Way out of my comfort zone!

MONOCHROME

VINTAGE BLAZER / ASOS PEPLUM T-SHIRT / TOPSHOP JEANS / MAXMARA LOAFERS / WAREHOUSE BAG / ASOS SUNNIES

You heard me saying, that I've found myself wearing a lot of denim lately. When it's not denim, I seem to quickly jump in to an outfit with a monochrome colour palette, which, let's be honest here, is not very typical of me. I tend to quickly get bored, if I'm only dressed in black and white, but somehow I've just gone straight for the contrast lately. Crucial to this look in order not to look too serious; a big smile.

HOPE YOU HAD A LOVELY WEEKEND

PONDER

Sorry for my absence lately, I've been running around London doing all kinds of things that will soon appear on the blog, and I can't wait to share it with you when it's all ready. I'm right back on for next week, so don't fear that I will pull off the same trick next week.

HOPE YOU'VE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND!
