Coincidental Match

wearing Zara dress, Vila blazer and Bianco shoes

Okay - the last photo I admit I look tired and daft! However, before this photo was taken, there was a big family party in celebration of my grandmother's 80 year birthday including buffet (oh don't even get me started) and lovely cakes for dessert.

NEXT TO CARLSBERG

VINTAGE OUTFIT
BOSNIAN EARRINGS
BARRY M NAILPOLISH

Went to the Carlsberg district of Copenhagen today in Frederiksberg. I used to live just a street further down from here, having the famous Carlsberg elephants as neighbours. I did take a few photos by the elephants, buuuut, turns out having a trunk on your outfit photo is a wee bit awkward!

HAVE A GREAT EVENING

In Memoirs

I almost never write about music on this blog, even though it's one of my primary hobbies (oh well, I wouldn't say never - there's those dancing feet and that ukulele of mine, which have appeared on the blog). I'll admit it - I'm terrible at finding new music and new bands! Lucky for a blind mouse like me, I'm surrounded by lovely people, equally as much into music as I am, who discover fantastic music and shares it with me. This time it was my lovely cousin, Sofie, who made me aware of the danish band In Memoirs. They put some free downloads on their facebook, which I strongly advise you (if you like it) to download!! I mean - what's better than really great stuff - for free??
They are going to give another free download to all of us drooling (who, me??) mugglers when their facebook reaches 900 likes. I liked as soon as I heard - you can do it here. But I love music like this - it's sort of Bon Iver-ish but with more rhythm and lovely guitar-strums. Tell me what you think :)

Min skønne kusine, Sofie, opdagede dette skønne band In Memoirs. Skynd jer at tage et lyt! Det er lækkert indie musik med bløde rytmer og lækre skævheder på guitaren. Man kan gratis downloade et par numre inde på deres facebook side - så snart de er oppe på 900 likes, er der en mere goodie til os! :)

Love,

Mikaela

BETHNAL GREEN MORNING

WAREHOUSE SHIRT / TOPSHOP PANTS (belonging jacket here) / VINTAGE SHOES / DANIEL WELLINGTON WATCH / FOSSIL BRACELET / RAYBAN SUNNIES (similar here)

The morning is my favourite time of day in London. A city that's rumoured to never sleep, somehow still has that tranquil moment early in the AM, and when it just before 8am starts to wake up, it is just perfect to have a sit while everything is rushing by. I had a lovely morning the other day with my lovely friend Isabella - such an amazing girl - having a morning coffee and chat in Bethnal Green. I truly wish I could start every day like this.

HOPE YOU ALL ARE DOING WELL!

WINWINWINWIN

1. SAND 2. TIGER OF SWEDEN 3. SAND

I rarely ever do competitions or giveaways, but as you know I'm collaborating with Louis Nielsen atm, and they gave me the chance of giving away one pair of the sunnies!!
Unfortunately this is only for people located in Denmark. (If you have a foreign relative in DK and you are able to borrow their address, ENTER ANYWAY!! ;)

Tiger Of Sweden og SAND.

Det I skal gøre for at deltage er at sige hvilke briller I bedst kan lide, samt hvordan I vil style dem, hvis de havner hos jer. HUSK også at skrive din email adresse!! :)

KONKURRENCEN ER NU LUKKET OG JEG TRÆKKER EN VINDER AS I WRITE!!!

The competition has closed and by the winner is Rebecca! Congratulations!

SUMMER FEELINGS

A super quick post from me today, running errands from place to place, and guess who's on her bike? Yes! Weather's perfect for it, and with a bit of caution I'm ready to go. Now. One of my best mates' birthday today. Excuse me while I go deliver a watermelon (really..).

HAVE AN AWESOME DAY,
PREPPING A NEW POST FOR TOMORROW!

HEY LUMBERJACK

VINTAGE SHIRTS
VINTAGE SHORTS
BIANCO SHOES
ZARA BAG
CLOUDY NAILS

Oh my, how I love green spots in the middle of big cities. They're like a sweet escape from the addictive and exciting dynamics of the city. With a lumberjack shirt around your waist, all you're really missing is the entire crew of Walt Disney's Bambi and someone yodelling. Perhaps even lederhosen, but I think I'll save that for another time.
I was accompanied by my very good friend Cecilie, who I hadn't seen in ages. Picnic in the park was simply perfect in the settings of the Frederiksberg Gardens. The curvy paths and lakes, not to mention the romantic bridges. Just minutes before Cecilie and I got there, this particular bridge was visited by a beautiful newly wed couple getting their photos taken. Talk about serene perfection.
Happy Tuesday everyone, get your money's worth of nature and sunshine when it's there

Futuristic layback...

Wearing: Sculpture shirt by TRAFALUC, leggings from Only, plaid shirt from Bik Bok, shoes from some shop in Germany, Midnight blue socks from Falke, bag from Australia.

Ooh.. The story behind these leggings is quite interesting so to say. I bought them after the first fashion show I attended (It was back in 2006 or 07). Since then I haven't worn them (except for once with a bet) because I found them a little bit.. well... too latex like. But! This is changed for today I will wear them proudly! But that will be about it I think..

I'll just go change!

Palvin in Vogue Paris

THE GRAYSON PERRY PROJECT

Here comes a huge amount of photos with a little insight, on what goes on behind CSM's doors. Just before the holidays, I went to see the 2nd year Fashion Print crit with the famous Grayson Perry project.
You don't want to miss this!!

Design by Tingzhi Liu

Oh boy, what can I say! Before I went on holidays, my tutor Natalie Gibson invited me to attend the final crit of the 2nd year Fashion Print students. This being the course I want to attend next year, I was of course very eager to go. Little did I know, that I was going to see the well known Grayson Perry project, and I must say - what an experience! First of all, he, as well as everyone walking these halls is such a character. He filled up the room with wit and charm, so it was pure fun to watch.

Ollie Thame had made a beautiful one-piece (or jacket with pants?). Anyhow! I was mesmerised by the colours and details of this. Above right is Jane Tan's playful ensemble - I loved her mixing of prints and the colours used.

Harriet Fox had created a very classy and sophisticated tulip dress which was accessorised with a little ceramic lantern. The dress and lantern went really well together, and just looked like beautiful handwork.

One of my personal favourites was created by Alessandro Francalacci. It wasn't just interesting in colour and print, but a completely new interpretation of the baby doll silhouette. Home-run.

Amanda Montenovo had created a cute navy blue babydoll dress.

The bob is real, kiddos.

The last garment I'll show you is with a print as happy as the creator behind it, Angus Lai. It was really well executed and I really like how colourful and playful the print is.

Last but absolutely not least. First actually! The first place went to Ayaka Sakurai (seen peeping through behind GP) who had created as The Guardian puts it, the teddy-bear-outer-space dress. And it gets better. We turned the lights off, and the night sky lid up.
(First and last photo by The Guardian)

HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!

Yellow 99

Wearing: vintage sweater from Italy, Bik Bok skirt, Falke socks, H&M kitten heels, earrings Pilgrim

I know I've been complaining about the freezy weather in Denmark all fall and winter and appreciate the summer to the fullest (I really am though; got a tan thank goodness!), but on a day like this where heavy clouds pass through the sky and rain could drop any minute I can't help but get a little excited about all the lovely fashion for fall. This is one of the looks I'm gonna wear for Fall, really love the vintage sweater I got for a bargain and the Falke socks are so comfy.
Hope you're having a great time while the summer sun still blesses the day.
